Apple Isle Car hire was founded by the Reid family as we found that our love of visiting Tasmania was being hampered by car hire companies not catering to our growing family. We have spoken to a lot of families who have the same problems we have encountered; cars are too small, too expensive and there are too many extra charges, so much so that a (tiny) car advertised as being $35 a day turns out to be closer to $50 a day.

We had to find a solution so we moved to the beautiful Launceston we so loved to visit to start a company providing decent sized, decent cars at decent sized prices with no hidden costs and no outrageous charges for baby seats!
